Missing You
August 21, 1876
My Dearest Love,
Months have passed since your tearful departure. With each sunset that rises and sets, I think of you and long for your warm embrace. To feel your loving arms around me and your soft lips against mine.
My heart, though full with love for you, feels empty when the cold breeze of night rushes and swirls around me.
Too long has it been since I've received a letter with your beautiful words, words that are as dear to me as the breath I take. I so wish to hear your voice again and to feel your skin next to mine.
Parting was such sweet sorrow. My heart feels heavy knowing that you, my love, my greatest friend, are so far away.
The picture I am sending you warms my heart and reminds me of all the loving times we shared together. I pray it brings you happiness as it has me many times when missing you seemed almost unbearable.
Until the time comes when we can be together again...I am sending you all my love.
Yours Faithfully,
Miquele
