Complete this entry form to participate in the 6th Annual Exhibit of The National Arts Program for the City of Boston employees and their family members. There is no fee to enter the program.

Your registration is not complete until you have clicked the ‘submit registration’ button, and received an automated confirmation email.

Eligibility

  • Participants must be an employee or immediate family member of an employee of the City of Boston. 
  • Only 1 entry per artist will be admitted.
  • All entries submitted must be the original work of the applicant completed within the last three years and not previously submitted.
  • The National Arts Program and the City of Boston reserve the right to disqualify any entries they consider to be unacceptable or inappropriate for a public exhibit.

  • Submit only entries which fit into the listed medium categories.
  • All artwork will need a NAP identification label placed on the back (provided at drop off).
  • All 2-dimensional entries should be matted, framed and ready to hang with wire securely on the back.
  • Only 3-dimensional entries that measure no more than 15” in any direction will be accepted.
  • All work must measure no more than 48” in any direction or weigh more than 50lbs unless otherwise stipulated.
  • Artwork that does not meet size limitations or specifications will be disqualified before judging.

  • Deadline This Registration Form must be received no later than July 12, 2025.
  • Delivering Entries All entries must be delivered to the Department of Arts and Culture c/o Mariana Rey, 8th Floor, Room 802 located in Boston City Hall. Drop off must be done during the week of July 21-25, 2025 between 10am - 4pm each day.
  • Reception & Awards A reception and presentation of awards will be held in the Mayor's Neighborhood Gallery on the second floor of Boston City Hall on August 28, 2025 from 5pm - 7pm.
    • Prizes will be awarded by classification:
      • Adult (Amateur, Intermediate and Professional): 3 - First Place Awards of $350; 3 - Second Place Awards of $250; and 3 - Third Place Awards of $150
      • Youth / Teen : 2 - First Place Awards of $150; 2- Second Place Awards of $100; and 2 - Third Place Awards of $50
      • Best of Show Award of $400
      • Art Education Award of $200
    • Honorable Mention Ribbons will be awarded at the discretion of the judges.
    • Awards are limited to one cash award per artist.
  • Public Exhibit The exhibit is free and will be open to the public on both the second and eight floor of Boston City Hall during business hours from August 4 - October 24, 2025.
  • Retrieving Entries Each artist is responsible for retrieving their artwork from the Department of Arts & Culture, Room 802 from October 27 - 31, 2025 between 10am - 4pm each day.  No work is to be removed prior to the end of the exhibition. Neither the City of Boston nor the National Arts Program will be responsible for unclaimed works.
  • Liability Every attempt will be made to preserve, secure and protect each entry submitted; but neither the National Arts Program nor the City of Boston can be held responsible for damages, loss of art entries, or changes/cancellation of this exhibit due to low participation or unforeseen circumstances.  The National Arts Program and the City of Boston reserve the right to disqualify any entries they consider to be unacceptable or inappropriate for a public exhibit. The placing of art in the exhibition constitutes an agreement on the part of the entrant with conditions herein set forth.  The National Arts Program and the City of Boston reserve the right to publish for publicity purposes reproductions of the entries.  The National Arts Program in the City of Boston, is a public exhibit and photographing/filming of the exhibit is encouraged.
