Complete this entry form to participate in the 18th Annual Exhibit of The National Arts Program for VCU Health employees, retirees, volunteers, and their family members. There is no fee to enter the program.

Your registration is not complete until you have clicked the ‘submit registration’ button and receive an automated confirmation email.

Eligibility
  • Participants must be an employee, retiree, volunteer, or an immediate family member of an employee, retiree or volunteer of VCU Health.
  • Only 2 entries per artist will be admitted.
  • All entries submitted must be the original work of the applicant completed within the last three years.
  • The National Arts Program and VCU Health reserve the right to disqualify entries they consider to be unacceptable or inappropriate for a public exhibit.

Entries
  • Entrants may submit only two entries that fit into the listed medium categories.
  • All artwork will need an NAP identification label placed on the back (provided at drop off). 
  • All 2-dimensional entries should be matted, framed and/or ready to hang with wire securely across the back. 
  • All work must measure no more than 48” in any direction or weigh more than 50 pounds unless otherwise stipulated. 
  • Artwork that does not meet size limitations or specifications will be disqualified before judging.

Rules of Exhibit
  • Deadline This Registration Form must be received no later than July 14, 2023  to participate in this exhibit.
  • Delivering Entries  All entries must be delivered on Tuesday July 18th or Wednesday, July 19th between the hours of 9am - 4pm at the Clinical Support Center, 403 N. 13th Street, Third Floor, Room 307A.
  • Reception & Awards A reception and presentation of awards will be held at the Gateway Building First Floor on Friday, July 28 starting at 3pm.
    • Prizes will be awarded by classification:
      • Adult (Amateur, Intermediate and Professional): 3 - First Place Awards of $350; 3 - Second Place Awards of $250; and 3 - Third Place Awards of $150
      • A Best of Show Award of $400 
      • Youth / Teen : 2 - First Place Awards of $150; 2- Second Place Awards of $100; and 2 - Third Place Awards of $50
      • An Art Education Award of $200
    • Additional awards including Honorable Mentions will be awarded at the discretion of the judges.
    • Awards are limited to one cash award per artist per classification.

  • Public Exhibit The exhibit is free and will be open to the public from July 28 - September 8, 2023.

  • Retrieving Entries Each artist is responsible for retrieving their artwork from the Clinical Support Center, 403 N. 13th Street, Third Floor, Room 307A on Monday, September 11 or Tuesday, September 12, 2023 between 10am - 2pm.  No work is to be removed prior to the end of the exhibition. Neither VCU Health nor the National Arts Program will be responsible for unclaimed works.

  • Liability Every attempt will be made to preserve, secure and protect each entry submitted; but neither the National Arts Program nor VCU Health can be held responsible for damages, loss of art entries, or changes/cancellation of this exhibit due to low participation or unforeseen circumstances.  The placing of art in the exhibition constitutes an agreement on the part of the entrant with conditions herein set forth.  The National Arts Program and VCU Health reserve the right to publish for publicity purposes reproductions of the entries.  The National Arts Program at VCU Health, VA is a public exhibit and photographing/filming of the exhibit is encouraged.
