This image was taken from a previous photography series, Bmore At Home, where the artist is collecting accounts surrounding the idea of what 'home' is. For this painting the artist expressed the subject's definition of home, also the title of the painting, through abstracting color and light.

While watching Saturday morning children's programming with my daughter we couldn't help but notice the overwhelming amount of commercials focused on pharmaceuticals with nonsensical names that rarely treated any malady we'd ever heard of.  Were these commercials setting the ground work for future customers or something far more nefarious?  It became so pervasive that my daughter and I made a delightful game of writing down each new drug we saw, the list appears affixed to the glass base-plate.   The mannequin wears a Bubonic plague mask and carries the hand drawn brand names of 310 mostly prescription medications.  The red color is a nod to the bright red medication containers designed by Deborah Adler as part of her master's thesis at New York’s School of Visual Arts and widely adopted by Target pharmacies in 2005.

Unique beaded necklace "Aurora" is made with Swarovski crystals and pearls, 24K plated gold Japanese seed beads.
Beaded lace technique was used.
It took 100 hours to complete this collar.

Cardinal’s Gift – Dawn of Winter Day

For the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, cold white winter is very long, and brilliant colors are treasured. Here, the first Cardinal arrives, and preening his feathers, drops a scarlet feather to a Young MPTN woman, as a gift, to be worn in her hair.

This piece is done on a sold white background to bring out the beautiful colors of this jelly fish. A wash and blot technique was used to get the swirl effect. Finished with a glossy clear coat.
