This is a portrait of the rapper Lil Wayne. I used acrylic paint and it is mounted on to another board as well as framed.

A swallowtail butterfly who's wing dried too fast after emerging from the chrysalis,  rendering it flightless rests on a frangipani leaf.

Greg Zirbel’s replicas of historical Sonoma County Landmarks and wineries are a site to be seen. Every Friday June through September 2011 you can find them at the Rohnert Park Farmers Market. Stop by and pick up a piece of history for yourself. You can find the HopKiln winery, the Santa Rosa Round Barn, the Church of One Tree, a General store and even a beautiful replica of St. Teresa Church from Alfred Hitchcock's movie "The Bird's” filmed in Bodega are available for purchase. All built from salvaged lumber form what was once the largest pig farm in Sonoma County adds even more historical value.

This piece was created in order to practice my embroidery and drawing skills. I chose the Nicobar pigeon because of it's many layers of feathers. The goal of this piece was to create implied texture using only ink.

Ironically this photo was shot on Mother's Day 2016.  When i saw the face on the gorilla and the playful baby with the towel on his head, all i could think of was a Mom rolling her eyes and thinking "You are NOT wearing that!"  Man and animal,  similar in so many ways!

Dulcita the great horned owl is an Avian Ambassador with the Hawks Aloft Avian Rescue in Albuquerque, NM. Rescued birds that cannot be safely released back into the wild after being rehabilitated become Avian Ambassadors and serve to educate both children and adults about wild birds and their habitats in the southwestern United States, and how to better protect those habitats and the animals that occupy them. I took this photo of Dulcita during a photography workshop sponsored by the rescue in September of 2019. I became aware of Hawks Aloft when they helped to monitor and relocate great horned owls that had nested on the campus of the school where I teach several years ago.

Part of a series of stained glass 'portals', made to be backlit and hung on a wall as though they are windows. Made from Bullseye and Yoghiogheny glass.
'Night Bloom' is inspired by the illustrations of Aubrey Beardsley, especially his work on a publication of Le Morte D'Arthur, a collection of Arthurian tales by Sir Thomas Malor - taking these illustrations of tales that are another kind of morality story and preserving them in architectural stained glass, the way other belief stories are, is the purpose of this collection of stained glass pieces. 'Night Bloom' in particular is a tribute to a small piece of manuscript illumination, Beardsley's snail - the slow and small and preciously symmetrical.

This is a single-exposure image, created in a darkened room. The dancer pictured is frozen in time by a strobe, and as the room returns to black, she picked up two lights and danced with them in her hands, creating the fluid light lines across the image.

I took this shot while cruising Wilmington on my bike one hot summer day. I had my camera, water, and some granola bars. This sculpture can be found in the back of the Delaware Art Museum and I thought it was magnificient and super cool.
