Another Incredible Showcase for Osceola County, FL

Award winners pose for a photograph during their January 14th awards reception.

Osceola Arts hosts an exceptional National Arts Program Exhibit every year which includes artists from the Osceola County Florida School District, Osceola Arts, and their family members. This year 221 pieces of art were professionally hung throughout Osceola Arts Galleries creating an amazing display for viewers to enjoy. This was the 18th Annual Exhibit for Osceola County and Coordinator Marilyn Cortes-Lovato always makes sure the show is a success from start to finish! The reception, which was held on January 14th was a joyous occasion with approximately 300 guests. One of the officials present at the awards reception was Dr. Christopher Burns, Fine and Preforming Arts Resource Specialist, Osceola County School District. Dr. Burns shared some thoughts on the program. Here is what he had to say, “The NAP program is an amazing experience for our Osceola County School District families. The participation from those in our district who “are not artists” and their joy when they get to see their artwork on display in the gallery bring a positive arts experience right to our backyard. Many of our administrators have reignited a passion for art they may have lost from their own school experiences and are always excited when the flyer is sent out each year. Personally, my son runs to see his artwork on the wall and asks me to take as many pictures as I can to show all his friends that he is a real artist now. This program provides such an excellent opportunity for Osceola County, and I look forward to continuing the relationship in the future.”
