Artwork Shines in Detroit, MI

The city of Detroit, MI held their Sixth Annual National Arts Program® at the William and Rose Skillman Library.

The awards reception, which took place on July 9th, was well attended by participants and their families as well as city officials. Many of the city officals spoke about the importance of the arts and culture. In particular, Sue Norander, the General Manager for the Recreation Department commented, “In these trying times, it is wonderful to see the people of the city through their beautiful works of art.”

Attendees to the event also enjoyed catered food and music by Cecelia Sharpe while taking in the artwork.
