Carlsbad, CA Continues to Thrive
The City of Carlsbad, CA opened their Sixth National Arts Program® Exhibition to raves reviews! Once again, Coordinator Karen McGuire did a beautiful job of displaying the 115 pieces of artwork at the William D. Cannon Art Gallery. The gallery provides a professional element to the exhibition that not many of the participants have had a chance to experience. A number of participants commented that they were extremely pleased with the way their artwork was installed as they felt like it was on display in a museum setting.
Even after six years with the NAP program, many employees are still surprised by the level of skill demonstrated by their co-workers. Karen commented, “that almost every department had at least one employee representative in the exhibition.” In any city environment where staff are constantly changing, it is wonderful to see employees and their families coming together as a community. This is one of the major reasons the National Arts Program® was established and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for the City of Carlsbad!
