The Art on the Wall at City Hall Gallery was filled with 125 pieces of art from the City of Manchester employees and their family members for their 14th Annual National Arts Program Exhibit. The show was on display from August 5th through September 25th with the awards reception being celebrated on August 19th. Mayor Joyce Craig and State Representative Joshua Query attended the awards ceremony and helped to honor the participants. Mayor Craig, who became the first woman to be elected Mayor of Manchester, was especially proud of this city hall showcase. Mayor Craig also posted to social media after the reception that, “Tonight’s National Arts Program Employee Art Show had an incredible turnout!” and “I loved seeing all of the fantastic talent displayed by city and school district employees, and their families.”
The National Arts Program would like to thank everyone that helped to make the show a success including; Manchester Arts Commission Chairman and the show’s Coordinator - Ed Doyle, all Manchester Arts Commissioners, the judges (Jason Bagatta, Kevin Kinter, and Patrick McKay), State Rep Josh Query, Mayor Joyce Craig and especially the artists that shared their immense talents for everyone to enjoy! We look forward to many more years of showcasing and awarding the artistic talents of this city!
