NAP Attends the 9th Annual AAAE ‘Arts in the Airport’ Workshop

In early June, the National Arts Program Foundation presented at the ‘Arts in the Airport’ Workshop held in San Diego, California. Guy Bruggeman from Dallas/ Fort Worth International Airport and Diane Dombrock of Minneapolis - St. Paul International Airport were both on hand to offer additional first hand feedback to potential airport venues.

Executive Director of the NAP, Jackie J. Szafara, commented that “we are always looking for new opportunities to bring forth otherwise undiscovered artistic talents.” Airport employee shows have been the National Arts Program®’s newest venture and after holding a total of seventeen exhibits at four different airport venues, we feel we can safely say that it is proving to be a true success.

The foundation hopes to bring new airport venues into the program in the coming years to include various regions across the nation and perhaps even expand internationally. Airports have become cultural centers in many cities offering rotating exhibits, permanent collections, regional artwork and now employee artwork.
