NAP Celebrates 22 Years of Showcasing the Arts in Fulton County

"Graveyard" by Charles Releford III; Professional, Honorable Mention; Works on Paper; Relative; Behavioral health

Fulton County had a stellar 22nd National Arts Program exhibition with the highest participation numbers they have had in years. This year’s show featured 150 pieces of artwork with almost double the number of participants from just last year.  As one of our longest running shows, the increased growth in both categories can be directly attributed to the hard work of Kristen Maddox, who took on the role of venue coordinator for their 2018 exhibit.

Along with her dedication to the program, Kristen was fortunate enough to have previous venue coordinator, Connie Cross, available as a mentor during her first year taking on the program, something that not all new coordinators are lucky enough to have at their disposal.  Kristen commented that having Connie available as a guide during the process was an invaluable tool that helped her have such a successful first show especially since she had never previously installed an art exhibit.  Our coordinators, both current and previous, are truly a tremendous resource especially when on location and we are extremely thankful for those that stay involved during the transition process when the torch is passed on.
