New Coordinator Steps Up in Manchester, NH

Art on the Wall at City Hall: Examples of artwork from the Professional Category.
Ed Doyle stepped up this year as Manchester Arts Commission Chair and took on the task of coordinating the 13th Annual City of Manchester National Arts Program® Exhibit entitled “Art on the Wall at City Hall”. He was already familiar with the show as he had volunteered to help hang it in past years.  Ed stated that, “The Manchester Arts Commission has a long tradition of assisting with the City Employee Art Show at City Hall. We are proud of the talented artists that live and work in Manchester and believe strongly in the positive role of the arts towards shaping our community.”

The show officially opened on August 6th and includes 121 pieces of art from city employees, Manchester school district employees, their immediate family members, elected officials, volunteers and retirees. The exhibition will run through September 26th and is open during City Hall hours for viewing. Mayor Joyce Craig commented, “it’s great to see so many creative submissions to Art on the Wall at City Hall.” She also encouraged Manchester residents to come and see the display in person and cast votes for the People’s Choice Award, which will be announced at the reception.

The National Arts Program® is grateful for Ed’s dedication to the NAP in Manchester and we applaud Mayor Craig for supporting and promoting this wonderful showcase.
