Participation Soars at UMMC
There were 192 artworks professionally displayed in the University of Maryland Medical Center’s magnificent Weinberg Building Atrium. UMMC truly understands the purpose and meaning behind an employee show such as this and both officials and staff came out in full force to celebrate at their Thursday, October 2nd reception. The reception included live music from Guitarist, Matt Peroutka and Jazz Pianist, Lt. Israel Cross. The food, live music and award presentation, that was organized by Coordinator Rachel Hercenberg and the C2X (Commitment to Excellence) team, was a tremendous celebration to mark their second year with the Program.
Rachel utilized some of the non-matching scholarship dollars to have 2,000 flyers printed which may have contributed to the thirty percent jump in participation they received this year. Overall the show was a great success and Rachel and her team should be congratulated for another job well done. Due to the popularity, this year’s exhibit remained open until November 4th, two weeks longer than the 2013 exhibition.
When asked to comment about this year’s exhibit Rachel said that, “our team is proud to host the annual exhibit. It makes a huge difference in the ambiance of our hallways and connects our staff in ways that we would have never imagined.”
