Record Numbers for Central Louisiana Arts & Healthcare

This was coordinator Judy Ginsburgh’s seventh year running the Central Louisiana Arts and Healthcare National Arts Program® Exhibition.  This year they had a record number of participants and their display included 171 works which were beautifully hung in the Coughlin-Saunders Performing Arts Center. Judy always incorporates the NAP exhibit with their Follies Showcase and recognizes the artists on stage during the event. During the intermission attendees of the show browse the art and congratulate the winners while enjoying refreshments.

Many works will also travel to other galleries in April for a secondary show after the main exhibit is brought down. The employee artwork is transported and hung in two local hospital galleries including both Rapides Regional Art Gallery and Christus Cabrini Gallery.

This show invites Central Louisiana Healthcare employees, volunteers, doctors and their immediate family members to participate. With such a broad base of eligible artists they receive a wonderful mix of talent from the community. Each year the show seems to grow and we are looking forward to what 2014 will bring!
