Strong Showing of Returning Artists in Santa Rosa
Coordinator Jessica Rasmussen stated that the annual NAP show has become recognized as a central part of the City of Santa Rosa’s Art Program. It’s no wonder that this year’s exhibition had even more returning artists than last year. She estimated that forty-five of the 204 participants had previously taken part in show.
One of these returning participants was Jessica Jacobsen. Jessica not only took part in the 2016 exhibition, she was awarded first place in the Intermediate category. This year, she moved up to Professional category and received the highest honor from the judges, Best of Show, for her piece entitled “Wisdom and Roots”.
Along with the participants, both current and returning, the public views the exhibition as a vital part of the City’s Art Program as well. The staff at the Finley Community Center, where the show was displayed, reported a record number of art-viewing visitors during the exhibition period.
This success can all be attributed to all the hard work of Jessica and the coordinators who have come before her. The NAP looks forward to celebrating the fifteenth anniversary in 2018!
