Lubbock's Loyal Following
To say that the City of Lubbock, Texas has a “loyal following” as coordinator Paula Griffith states, could be considered an understatement by some. Sandy Fortenberry who is a retiree from the city has participated in the NAP exhibit for the past 21 years and even won a few awards including Best of Show. While Kathy Rogers who currently works in the Electrical Utilities department now has two generations of her family participating in the annual exhibit.
The City of Lubbock is one of our longest running venues, celebrating their 23rd year with the NAP this past fall. Even with their loyal following of artists, Paula was able to increase participation a whopping 78% from the previous year. This year’s exhibit featured artwork from 107 employees, volunteers, retirees and their immediate family members.
