Tremendous Growth for the University of Chicago Medicine
The University of Chicago Medicine’s Seventh Annual NAP Exhibit is beautifully displayed in DCAM Skybridge now through January 25th. Coordinator Monica Hork told us that, "the staff and visitors to the University of Chicago continue to express their joy at seeing the display, which annually impresses them by demonstrating the talents of all the participants." Employees and their families were enthusiastic about taking part this year and it showed as the exhibit includes a tremendous 186 works by 117 artists. We applaud Monica Hork and her staff for all of their efforts in promoting the show and making it such a success.
Their reception was held on November 14th and the Medical Center Vice President took part in the awards ceremony this year by speaking and assisting in handing out ribbons and cash prizes. Along with the cash prizes, the University of Chicago Medicine was awarded a Non-Matching Scholarship by the NAP that aided in many facets of promoting and executing the show. Monica makes good use of the funds and with such a wonderful increase in participation the NAP certainly believes that it is money well spent. This show was a great example of the growth the NAP is is looking for with all of our venues across the nation.
