Hindale Hospital exhibit honors soldiers and their families

 

A new Healing Arts exhibit featuring items from staff at Adventist Hinsdale and La Grange Memorial hospitals honors members of the military and their families.

 

The Freedom Appreciation exhibit will remain on display through July in the atrium at Adventist Hinsdale Hospital, 120 N. Oak St.

 

“We want to express our appreciation to all who have served or are serving in the military,” said Sue Kett, who leads the Healing Arts program run by Adventist Midwest Health.

 

The exhibit features photographs, collages, personal stories, poems and other framed artwork of family members who are military veterans or who are actively serving, to remember their service, Kett said.

 

“We began a Healing Arts program here at the hospital about a year ago, and from the very beginning everybody decided they wanted to have an opportunity to honor our military family,” Kett said.
