Lexington-Fayette County, Kentucky NAP Shines in New Space
LexArts CEO Jim Clark poses with First Place Amateur Category Winner Sara Arthur Paratley at their April 9th Awards Reception
For their Seventh Annual NAP exhibit and awards reception, Lexington Mayor, Jim Gray and LexArts CEO, Jim Clark, were both in attendance to honor the artists in their communities. Artists included Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government and LexArts employees, volunteers and their immediate family members. Participation was up this year thanks to the efforts of Coordinator Lori Houlihan and included over 130 artworks.
This year the exhibit was moved to the City Gallery at the Downtown Arts Center and Lori commented that, “they couldn’t be happier.” The Main Street Gallery is closer to the Government Center and several other LFUCG facilities and allows much easier access for the employees. Lori also explained that the space had incredible light and there were plenty of walls for adding more art and growing the exhibit in future years.
The NAP is so pleased that the show has found a new and hopefully permanent home and looks forward to the continued growth of the program in Lexington, KY. We would like to thank Lori for her positive energy and hard work that made this another successful exhibit.
