University of Chicago Medicine Celebrates their Tenth Anniversary
Through their National Arts Program® exhibits the University of Chicago Medicine has proudly displayed the artwork of its employees and their family members for ten years now. An extraordinary show was hung for their tenth NAP Anniversary including over 150 works in total. Janet Seitzer and Monica Hork are an amazing team and once again proved that there are many extremely talented individuals within the UCM community.
This beautiful exhibit was displayed in the DCAM Skybridge and drew praise from visitors and staff alike. Coordinator Janet Seitzer told us that their comment box was overflowing with positive responses ranging from “Beautiful” and “Fantastic” to “Always brightens my day to see such lovely work!” The enthusiasm that both the coordinators and participants show proves that art can bring people together on so many levels. Hospital leadership, Debra Albert, Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services, also showed her support by attending the ceremony, speaking and handling out prizes.
National Arts Program® board member Jill Mirkovic had the pleasure of attended their November 18th reception and presented them with an anniversary award honoring their dedication to bringing art forward each and every year. We look forward to seeing what the next ten years will bring from this wonderful venue.
