Osceola Artists Continue to Share their Talents with Social Media
Although thirteen may be considered unlucky by some, it was a momentous year for several artists who received recognition at this year’s Osceola County NAP Exhibit. It was an especially significant year for previous venue coordinator and long-time participant, Juliana Davidson-Ross, who celebrated her long-standing goal of winning first place in the Professional category by sharing this picture on Instagram caption with, “Oh my goodness! I am so completely excited and overwhelmed to have received 1st Place in Professional division @nationalarts Program show for @osceolarts @osceolaschoolsfl district event! (Backstory – I’m really good at getting 2nd and 3rd place with my mixed media – lol).” Juliana also reveled in the talents of other participants, including her two daughters, by sharing pictures of their artwork along with a message encouraging people to stop by the show to see all the amazing pieces in person.
The continued success of this exhibit is directly attributed to the efforts of Marilyn Cortes-Lovato, who has been coordinating our Osceola show since 2014 and her team at Osceola Arts. Without their dedication to putting on such a professional show, participants like Juliana would not only miss the opportunity to share their talents with their community, they would lack the encouragement the show provides to share their art via social media.
