Michael Perez

Michael Perez  was born in Los Angeles California.  Ever since he can remember he has always been enthralled with both looking at and taking photos.  His mom and aunts always had cameras and took hundreds of snap shots.  

 
At the age of 9, when his mother, who also loved taking photos, recieved a newer model Kodak 110, she gave him her old one.   From there that 110 went everywhere: to his 5th grade classroom,  picnics,  family events.  But with what money would he develop the film?   No problem!  Michael would walk around his apartment complex collecting and returning glass bottles, earning a nickle and a dime here and there.  When he had just enough, he would walk down to the Thrifty's drug store, fill out the photo envelope, and wait a week to a week 1/2 for his pictures to come back.  

 
He considers himself an amateur photographer, and has only recently discovered the power of using the medium to express his innately creative nature.  He knows he has a good eye, and is now taking the time to focus on learning the craft photography and exploring his potential.  Basically having fun capturing life from time to time. His ultimate dream is to pursue a new career as a photographer
