One of the most memorable comments of this photograph is from a work colleague, who observed that something is "obviously" not right. For my family and I, we never did NOT acknowledge Gabriella's illness of Trisomy 18 (median lifespan about 10 days). Instead, we unconditionally embraced our beloved daughter and sister. This is "Gabriella's Joy" and her legacy - our family striving to love, without measure, day by day.
