Borrowed Luck
Painting
In a mountain valley in Colorado I came across an old homestead. As I was snapping photos, I saw that the horseshoe was still strongly attached to the door. This was a perfect representation of the old west and the hopefulness of pioneer spirit. The watercolor paper was mounted on gatorboard and then top coated with satin polymer varnish. The varnish makes the paper waterproof and the painting can be directly placed in a frame with no glass.
