Complete this entry form to participate in the 35th Annual Exhibit of The National Arts Program for the City of Lubbock, TX employees and their family members. There is no fee to enter the program.

Eligibility

  • Participants must be an employee, volunteer, retiree, previous GAC exhibitor or a family member of an employee, volunteer or retiree of the City of Lubbock, TX.
  • Only 2 entries per artist will be admitted.
  • All entries submitted must be the original work of the applicant completed within the last three years and not previously submitted.
  • The National Arts Program and the City of Lubbock reserve the right to disqualify entries they consider to be unacceptable or inappropriate for a public exhibit.

Entries
  • Entrants may submit only two entries which fit into the listed medium categories.
  • All artwork will need an NAP identification label placed on the back (provided at drop off).
  • All 2-dimensional entries should be matted, framed and/or ready to hang with wire securely on the back.
  • All work must measure no more than 48” in any direction or weigh more than 50lbs unless otherwise stipulated.
  • Artwork that does not meet size limitations or specifications will be disqualified before judging.

  • Deadline This Registration Form must be received no later than Friday, October 4, 2024.
  • Delivering Entries All entries must be delivered to the Lubbock Municipal Garden & Arts Center located at 4215 University Avenue from October 7 - 11 between 9am - 5pm or on October 12 between 9am - 12pm.
  • Reception & Awards A reception and presentation of awards will be held at the Lubbock Municipal Garden & Arts Center on Friday, November 1, 2024 from 6pm - 8pm.
    • Prizes will be awarded by classification:
      • Adult (Amateur, Intermediate and Professional): 3 - First Place Awards of $350; 3 - Second Place Awards of $250; and 3 - Third Place Awards of $150
      • Youth / Teen : 2 - First Place Awards of $150; 2- Second Place Awards of $100; and 2 - Third Place Awards of $50
      • Best of Show Award of $400 
      • Art Education Award of $200
    • Honorable Mention Ribbons will be awarded at the discretion of the judges.
    • Awards  are limited to one cash award per artist per classification.
  • Public Exhibit The exhibit is free and will be open to the public from October 29 - November 23, 2024.
  • Retrieving Entries Each artist is responsible for retrieving their artwork from the Lubbock Municipal Garden & Arts Center from November 25 - 27, 2024 between the hours of 9am - 5pm.  No work is to be removed prior to the end of the exhibition. Neither the City of Lubbock nor the National Arts Program will be responsible for unclaimed works.
  • Liability Every attempt will be made to preserve, secure and protect each entry submitted; but neither the National Arts Program nor the City of Lubbock can be held responsible for damages, loss of art entries, or changes/cancellation of this exhibit due to low participation or unforeseen circumstances.  The placing of art in the exhibition constitutes an agreement on the part of the entrant with conditions herein set forth.  The National Arts Program and the City of Lubbock reserve the right to publish for publicity purposes reproductions of the entries.  The National Arts Program in Lubbock, TX is a public exhibit and photographing/filming of the exhibit is encouraged.
