I am Naomi Smith and I’m an artist based in Delaware whose is driven by the concept of Abstract through my art, I seek to explore the interconnections of life and appreciate the small moments that shape who we are. Drawing upon a multitude of mediums including painting, sculpture, and photography to express my vision. I specialize more in acrylics and oils. Also my art is more based on my perspective growing up as an African American woman. It demonstrates how a little black girl evolves into a grown black woman. I hold strong beliefs that just one act of art can be beautiful and meaningful. The imperfections are the result of pain, struggle and strength in my artwork. I don’t expect to have perfect strokes or perfect lines. I want my audience to see the imperfect moments of life and how it make us stronger to build a legacy. Ultimately, I hope to inspire others to take a pause and slow down to appreciate the beauty in our lives.
