While Athena hasn't formally studied art, she has always loved painting the world around her. From a young age, she spent hours creating art alongside both of her grandmothers and cousins. This activity not only connects her to her family and community but also fosters a deeper appreciation for the beauty that surrounds her. During her last eight years studying at and then working for the University of Chicago, she has fallen in love with Hyde Park and the city of Chicago, which have become her favorite sources of inspiration.
