My name is James Sampsel. I am 28 yrs. old. I grew up in the foothills of Missoula Montana, building the foundation of who I am today. For the last 6 years I have been living in Oregon between the small towns of Maupin, Bend, and Merlin. I started painting when I was ten years old, and received no real formal training. I have learned through various friends and mentors. I paint my life experiences, and my natural surrounding. I’m an avid fly fisherman and lover of all natural things in the world. I believe in an equality and connection with all. There’s an energy you can feel and I pay attention to those vibrations.
