A native of Johnson City, TN, teaching piano and organ for 14 years while being a wife and mother before becoming a purchaser for a major chemical company. The ability to see, hear and sense the interaction of emotions is my goal in each painting. "Inner Visions", my paintings, be they from my thoughts, pictures, things or places starting with just a stroke of the brush abstract or subject, whatever from my minds eye, has been, and I hope to continue to be a source of joy for me and those who enjoy my visions.

"Bliss Reception" 36"x48"
"Bliss Reception" 36"x48"
Painting
Acrylic 36"x48" canvas gallery wrapped. Painting represents the 4 S's of a painting: Senses, Suggestion, Symbolic and Story. Feel the ocean mist, gentle breeze, and perfect day; see and hear sounds around of birds and ocean. The painting suggests that the girl is alone; that it is sunny with the hat shading her eyes; that the birds are receiving her communication with them; the ocean is calm and all is good. The symbolic message is the girl is baring all, feeling the pure joy of freedom around her but still there is some intimidation and insecurities by having the hat hide a little of her face. This is the Story and relates to us all as we want to feel that complete "Bliss" of freedom to be.
