Janet Dent is essentially a self-taught watercolor artist whose interest in painting mushroomed after taking an adult education watercolor class over ten years ago. She continually strives to create paintings that evoke emotion and a personal connection to ordinary images. She is a three time winner of the Maryland State Fair Best in Show Award, the Maryland State Fair Presidential Award, and has been awarded numerous first place blue ribbons. She lives in Kingsville, Maryland and is retired.
