Javier T. Dones

I was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico.  I graduated in 1990 with a Bachelor in Fine Arts Degree from the Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico. I currently reside and work from my studio in Saint Petersburg, Florida. My main medium is Mixed Media on copper and other metals.  The presentation of pieces that integrate fumed copper, forged metals fixed on epoxy or acrylic bases, metal leafing and enamels.  Their coloration and texture is a product of controlled chemical reactions.  Most of the pieces exhibit a three-dimensional element, however are for wall hanging.
