Amy Mahler joined the Walsh Administration from Governors Deval Patrick Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs, where she was Press Secretary, working on urban agriculture, wildlife awareness, ground fish federal disaster relief, and more. She is originally from South Florida and lives in Audubon Circle with her partner. In her spare time, she illustrates, bakes, and enjoys Boston's vibrant restaurant and shopping scenes.
This watercolor was inspired by a particularly fairy tale-looking porch wreathed in vines. Sometimes in the middle of the city, you can be swept away into a totally different world and it was beautiful memory to paint from when commuting.
