I am a pastel artist. I am self taught and have been doing pastels for a couple of years. Recently, I have been taking classes online to improve and fine tune my skills. During the summer I love to do chalk art on asphalt/cement at chalk festivals.
This piece is called, "Scenic Sequoia Drive." I used soft pastels on art spectrum colourfix paper.
I started with an under painting to capture the shadows of the Redwood forest. Then as you drive deep into the forest you see beautiful greens and lush foliage.
