This is a response to the Rhode Island School of Design Prompt, to repair or make better something broken. I demonstrated to students that I could gesso and oil paint over latex bandaids, then invited them to find the bandaids, like Where's Waldo? Discussions with students have been interesting as much is left to individual point of view, and what is subjective, and symbolic to them. This work is in oil paint with dollar tree brushes, (George W. is on the dollar) and glazes overlay the forms. N.C. Wyeths clouds from his adventure book illustrations inspired these, evoking the great idyllic stories.
