Anne Baumgartner is a life-long artist and art teacher. Her work is mostly abstract, using common shapes, symbols, color blocks and re-purposed elements to create slightly unbalanced spaces and grids. She layers paint, found paper, cardboard and common materials to create quirky, accessible compositions. She consults and leads groups in art-making and has a particular love for postal mail art. Anne co-founded The Traveling Postal Club in Los Angeles and offers a yearly subscription mail art program. Her work can be found in envelopes, on public walls and in private homes.
