Jane Basile is a microbiologist at the CDC in Fort Collins, CO. She has also been an artist when time (and epidemics) allows, since her 20's. She particularly enjoys creating large works in acrylic, and would like to experiment more. Jane aspires to improve her command of abstraction, but currently straddles the fence between abstraction and realism. Jane travels quite a lot with her work and also for pleasure. If time allows, Jane typically makes a few small drawings as souvenirs. Landscapes are her nemesis, as it impossible to create an image comparable to Mother Nature, but she keeps trying!
