My name is Mary Riles. I was born and raised in Danville , Va and have lived in Roanoke , Va since 1972. As a child, I always had an artistic creative mind. I am a self taught artist and I love to create all kinds of things from all kind of materials. I use mosaic tiles, eggshells,alcohol ink, acrylic paint, glass,metal, clay, plaster, plastic,and an array of recyclable materials. I also love to instruct children and adults how to do these things. I also write poetry, bird watch, draw sketches and love to take photos of the skies and animals.

17"x23" wooden corkboard with found objects made from different materials. All the objects were glued to board and the complete art work was sealed with a clear gloss sealer. There is even a miniature bottle of perfume and a miniature truck with movable wheels. I am currently working on "Everything and the Kitchen Sink", which will feature a miniature kitchen sink.
