As a retired Senior Researcher, I devote greater time to jewelry and freeform fiberarts. My media vary in fiber and semi-precious gem, glass and crystal beads with a mix of natural stone. I enjoy working with antique and vintage materials to create unique designs. My primary focus is in creating jewelry for family, friends and donations to local and national nonprofits. I also donate natural fiber crocheted hats for cancer patients. I taught jewelry making to community members for over 10 years and I have had an opportunity to display my work in a local shop and arts and crafts shows and galleries. I am a member of the National Museum of Women in the Arts.
My multi-colored textured shapes are reminiscent of summer. Original freeform crocheted objects and bead woven designs comprise my wall hanging—set against a deep blue sky.
