In my art, as in my life, I feel that I am involved in a constant search. As a result, each piece is missing an element, a gap that can never be filled. Perhaps because of this, the meaning can change depending upon the circumstances of the viewer as well as what the viewer allows herself to notice in that moment.
Whether depicting a natural subject such as a grove of trees or matter private as a portrait, my goal is to evoke an emotional response either through what the observer can see or through that which has been left out.
