**Artist Bio: Julyen Ecoffey**
Julyen Ecoffey is a talented mixed media artist with a passion for reimagining classical art through a contemporary lens. With a background in art studies from Southwestern College (SWC), Julyen quickly immersed herself in the local art scene, actively participating in community events that celebrate creativity and expression.
Her artistic journey has been marked by notable contributions, including participation in Women's Month events on campus at SWC and being recognized as a highlighted artist at San Diego State University (SDSU). For several years, Julyen has also been a consistent presence at the Little Italy Gesso Italiano, showcasing her unique interpretations and dynamic style.
Recently, Julyen has ventured into the world of professional makeup artistry (MUA), blending her passion for beauty with her artistic vision. This new direction allows her to create dimensional art on her body, expanding her creative expression and sharing it with audiences through various social media platforms.

I used black Bristol paper and white conte and eraser. I wanted to really make it look realistic and had a real skull in front of me to capture its likeness.

I used canvas and acrylic paint to make this painting, of a female and half dragon. I enjoy fantasy drawing . I love dragons and do tend to do some dragons and add scales to people.

I love Art Nouveau style painting, my Favorite is Alphonse Mucha, he was amazing, and so I did a replica of his style using India ink using brush so it looks like watercolor but its ink and calligraphy pen.

I used charcoal on white Bristol paper, I covered the whole paper with charcoal and the used an eraser to create the landscape to give it a depth effect on paper. Its a messy process but I LOVE IT!!

I enjoy finding old furniture or sometime in this case an old kitchen cabinet my neighbor through out during a remodel. I picked it up and designed an India style on it and now have it in my home.

At the park we saw a sign on the floor for a garage sell and I had my favorite subject(My Niece) to pick it up and I snap a picture of her, I think it grasped the theme and her feeling towards a garage sell.
