I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in December of 2015 with a degree in studio art. In my three and a half years at the university, I had the chance to study photography through the Journalism School as well as through the art school.
I just got married and moved to my hometown, Charlotte, in August this year to begin teaching Digital Photography at my old school - Mallard Creek High School. I am absolutely loving this new aspect of photography where I get to teach teenagers basic skills and begin to get them excited about using cameras to make art!

This is a single-exposure image, created in a darkened room. The dancer pictured is frozen in time by a strobe, and as the room returns to black, she picked up two lights and danced with them in her hands, creating the fluid light lines across the image.
