Kay Ross
Kay Ross is a visual artist working primarily in acrylic, watercolor, and gouache, whose practice explores the vibrant landscapes of the Sonoran Desert and the Pacific Northwest. Since then, Kay has dedicated herself to weekly study with a local artist for over a decade, continually refining her technique. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards, including four first-place ribbons in juried exhibitions. Her paintings are held in private collections across the United States-including New York, Washington, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Arizona-as well as internationally in the Netherlands. Kay’s recent works employ impressionist techniques to create luminous, realistic scenes-ranging from blooming yuccas and autumn leaves to underwater sea otters. Through her use of color, shape, and light, she seeks to capture the essence and movement of her subjects, inviting viewers into the environments that have shaped her life.
