My name is Lexie Kimminau, I was born and raised in Colorado. I attend Metropolitan State University of Denver, where I will be getting my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting this December. I typically use neon/vibrant colors in my portraits, I find it more interesting than doing real skin color. The vibrant colors catch the viewers eye. Although my major is painting, I do a lot of photography on the side. Besides art, I also love playing/watching sports.
In this painting, the Native American chief can be seen imagining the spirit of his wife who has passed (which can be inferred through her gold glow of an outline and her fading figure). Though they are apart, their spirits will always remain together.
