Born in Guaymas, Sonora, Mexico, she has been a resident of Arizona since 1979. Became a US citizens in September 2008. Graduated from Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona where she received her Associate of Fine Arts Degree with Visual Arts Concentration in May 2013. Participated and became selected at the College's Juried Exhibitions in 2011 and 2012. She is a 2014 Third Place winner in the National Arts Program held at the University of Arizona.
