This sculpture is based on the topic of low self esteem. Building a wall or protective barrier towards others can serve as a defense mechanism of the mind. The piece is interactive in that individuals may walk up to the work and anonymously introduce parts of their self esteem by using the pen and paper are provided. Responses are deposited into the glass vase which is attached to the sculpture by its umbilical cord. Individuals may express thoughts, feelings, or emotions, about themselves or in responses to the work. The interactivity of the work sparks dialogue between anonymous individuals and the artist. This conversation remains confidential to the public which adds to the personal intimacy of the piece.

Therapy in art is essential in the work of Poveda. The topic of anxiety and wanting to escape is something that many can relate to. The artist speaks from personal experience and finds strength through the work in that he is able to eventually break free from such emotions and torment. The corroded nature of the work is symbolic in that these feelings are eventually conquered and left behind to rust.
