Maxwell Miller is currently attending the Ani Art Academy as an apprentice of master artist Anthony Waichulis. Maxwell hopes to bring his love for theatricality and dramatic figure work into his charcoal drawings and oil paintings as he continues studying contemporary realism in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
This small (8" by 10") charcoal drawing was my first completed work of 2020. I have found it to be a great show of progress to make a self portrait every year or so.

This charcoal drawing is one of my smallest and most detailed at only 4 inches by 6 inches. It was a fun experience to challenge myself to work at this scale.
