Robert McFarland is a full time artist living and working in Fort Collins, Colorado. He can often be found lying belly down in mud ecstatically lost in the viewfinder of a surprisingly clean camera. "The camera challenges me to consider the elements of the scene in front of me in order to create a single image that is both an honest representation of the moment and an interpretation of the experience of my being there. I make use of four basic elements in my photographs. Light, which defines our sense of space, focuses our attention, and stirs our emotions. Shape, as we recognize objects, allows us a necessary anchor to consider ourselves aga
