He is author of Thoughts of a Lifetime, Transplant Poetry of Hope, an autobiographical ebook expressing the human factors of waiting on a transplant list and then recovery from transplant surgery. His wife, Bobbie, was Clinical Director of Suburban Outpatient Surgery Center.
