Jacquiline Perry was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. She is a mother, a grandmother, an artist and youth advocate. She has worked in youth services as a teacher, childcare administrator and, most recently, a street worker in Roxbury, Massachusetts, doing gang prevention and intervention.
