Phyllis Raskin - Artist Statement
My personal goal as a watercolor artist is to share my paintings with others, allowing them to see the way I perceive the world.
The inspirations for my paintings are derived from the various places that I have lived and visited, both here and abroad, that I have documented with photography. My creations are never meant to be an exact duplicate of the original photograph, but about how I personally interpret the imagery.
I have steadily grown my watercolor skills and plan to continue to enhance my artistic talents through constant education in this field of study.
